Are you happy with a tower block opposite you?... if not, we want to hear from you, and we are looking for people to support our cause, we need to set up a Residents Group to fight these proposals.
Following several meetings and presentations it is clear that Ballymore want to build taller apartment blocks next to the canal, the issue is how tall. This has not been confirmed as yet...but they are looking at buildings 8-12 floors high.
The initial Ballymore sketch which has been circulated is not to scale, so we have done a scaled drawing to show how blocks this high would look on the canal front. The buildings nearer the high street have been limited to five floors.
The planning application is due in april, so it would be good if we could gather brentford dock residents together to voice their worries and concerns regarding this issue. A lot of views from the flats in galba, romulus and numa will be affected.
We are collecting names of people who want to support our group, if possible we will arrange a meeting in the clubhouse to discuss further courses of action.
